Who we are

cré is an open-access ceramics studio on Dublin’s northside. We decide how the personal information on this site is used. You can reach us at hello@crecommunitypottery.ie.

What we collect, and why

• Newsletter. Your email address, when and where on the site you signed up, and when you confirmed. We use it to send studio news, new class dates and open-studio updates. If you tell us what you are most interested in, we keep that too and use it to choose which emails to send you. You join the list only after you confirm, and you can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email. We rely on your consent.
• Class bookings. Your email address, the class you booked and the amount you paid. We use it to hold your place, confirm your booking and send you reminders about the class. Payments go straight to Stripe, so we never see your card details. We rely on our contract with you.
• Membership and sign-in. Your email address, your plan and your billing dates. We use them to run your account and membership. We rely on our contract with you.
• Group enquiries and class suggestions. The name, email address and message you send us. We use them to reply and to plan classes. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering you.

Who helps us look after it

We use trusted services to run the site and send email: Supabase (database and sign-in), Stripe (payments), Brevo (email), Notion (internal class lists) and our web hosts. They handle your information on our behalf and under our instructions. Some are based outside the European Union, and where that applies they rely on approved safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe. We keep booking and membership records for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Enquiries and suggestions are kept for as long as they are useful for planning and replying.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and to remember the site password during the preview. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, ask us to limit how we use it, object to it, ask for a copy you can take elsewhere, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email hello@crecommunitypottery.ie and we will help. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
